winemaking – no additions except for, occasionally, 5-20 mg sulfites added during vinification to certain barrels

labor and social practices – From Stefanie: We currently have one worker who helps us all year long with 40 hours/week. His wife started to work for us last year with 20h/week. Their daughter graduated this year and we also employed her during summer for 16h, because she wanted to come two days/week to get a bit of money. So we are super happy to support one family. They are from Hungary and come here every day, its around 35 km from our winery. We pay them a bit above collective agreement, currently they are discussing to raise the salary for workers in agriculture again and we think that is just fair. We usually only have 5 more people for harvest for 3 weeks, since we mostly pick in morning, they usually work 20h/week. They’re employed – same as our regular workers - after collective agreement.
